Celebrate Independence Day with small town flair at the Town of Manteo 4th of July Celebration on the downtown waterfront. Independence Day in Manteo is a full day of fun, with contests, food and music, children’s games and activities, a flea market and more! Festivities begin at 3:00 pm and culminate in one of the Outer Banks’ best firework shows over the Roanoke Sound when the sun goes down. Spectators can enjoy an incredible, secluded view of the fireworks by paddling or boating into the sound to watch the display. The rain date for fireworks is set for July 5th.
The 208th Army Band will also be performing in Manteo on July 4th at Festival Park on the Pavilion Lawn and Stage. Gates open to the public at 6 pm and the concert starts at 8 pm. Enjoy the live music and stick around for the fireworks starting at dusk. Food vendors, Cafe Lachine and OBX Sunset Slush, will also be on-site. Don’t forget to bring your chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy the show.
