The Manteo Christmas Parade is Saturday December 3rd. Winding through the streets of Manteo, the Christmas parade is a Manteo tradition. Local schools, charitable organizations, and business help spread the spirit of the season.

Thanksgiving Events on the Outer Banks

Thanksgiving is a great time to visit us on the outer banks. The fishing is usually fantastic this time of the year with rockfish, trout, and blues. We are expecting good weather so perhaps enjoy some nice walks on the beach. Manteo is going to be hopping with holiday cheer with many shops having holiday sales and downtown Manteo will be festive so come join us.Some other events happening over thanksgiving are:

Hangin’ With Santa
November 25 – 26
Kitty Hawk Kites (mp 12.5), Nags Head. Children can have their free photo taken with Santa in a demonstration Hang Glider Friday and Saturday, set up at Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head. This event is free, so bring your cameras!!

Kites with Lights
November 26th
Jockey’s Ridge State Park (mp 12.5), Nags Head. Watch the night sky magically transform as kites with lights glow in the sky atop Jockey’s Ridge State Park.
